1st Central Victorian Permaculture Gathering & Equinox Dinner

We are already in September and spring is showing her beautiful head! Many blossoms are incredibly early and the warmth has been deceptively seductive!

The equinox is not far away (Sept 23rd this year) and we would love to celebrate it all together at Conti on Thursday September 22nd. It will be sustainable eating out principles as usual (set menu, $15/person, bookings essential). Even though it is the spring lean time, we are hoping to have as much local produce as possible. We will have a discussion about Energy Descent Planning and give you a run down on some of the projects around town that fit beautifully for a great future. Book soon hrn@internode.on.net

On 17th September 2011 the first Central Victorian Permaculture Gathering will be held at Winters Flat Primary School in Castlemaine.
  • come and say Hello to all Central Victorian Permaculture people
  • network with local Permaculture people
  • tour the Permaculture retrofit of Winters Flat school
  • wood-fired pizza lunch
This is a fantastic opportunity to socialise and network with local permaculture people. The day will include a tour of the permaculture retrofit of the school, hands-on practical activities, and a chance to find out about other exciting permaculture projects happening in the region.

It will also provide a forum for discussing permaculture in our region. Would you like to be part of a Central Victorian permaculture group? What would be the advantages and disadvantages? How do we link with permaculture nationally and internationally? What could such a group do for you and for others in the community? Your ideas and input are greatly welcomed.

The day also includes a wood-fired pizza lunch (B.Y.O. ingredients) and the launch of the new book “Permaculture Pioneers” with local contributing authors including David Holmgren. Entry and participation are by donation.
